Tweeting From The Shell. Nuts.

Just recently know. Using curl you can update your twitter status via terminal. First, get curl off course, install it by Synaptic or terminal “sudo apt-get install curl”. Then try this code:

$ curl -u username:password -d status="Tweeting from the shell. Nuts." http://twitter.com/statuses/update.xml

Or if you’re worried of people standing behind you, trying to peek on your password try this code:

$ curl -u username -d status="Tweeting from the shell. Nuts." http://twitter.com/statuses/update.xml

I prefer use the second one of course😆. It doesn’t require password (will asks for it instead).

PS: I’m using Ubuntu if you’re wondering what kind of “Terminal” I used in my post.😀

PPS: Hey, this is my first blogpost in English, sorry for any misspelled words, or other inconvenience in my post🙂
